Data Analyst/Research Assistant
at American Molecular Laboratories

  • Research member of a joint research project with Harvard Medical School, Boston Children Hospital and Rhode Island Children Hospital on H. Pylori antibiotic resistance in pediatric patients of Latino and African American.

  • Conducting computational DNA/RNA data analysis using Next Generation Sequencing. Evaluated genetic, epigenetic, and other potential molecular biomarkers for gastrointestinal.

  • Performing statistical analysis on data obtained through PCR amplification and NGS to determine the rate of antibiotic resistance and risk factors for treatment failure in pediatric patients.

  • Researching on the demographic, social, and economic implications on H. Pylori development and its antibiotic resistance in Latino and African American children.

  • Volunteered working in Covid testing lab during winter break when Covid cases and testing demand increased.

  • Prepared molecular-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) buffers for Covid testing.

  • Improved the sign in procedure by creating barcodes for contactless sign in.

  • Performed and assisted lab testing to extract RNA from both stool and tissue; Conducted and assisted data analysis on DNA sequencing to determine the presence of H-pylori and the risk of gastric cancer.

  • 3 year varsity player at Phillips Academy. No team activities in 2020 spring due to covid.

  • Received Moonves Award as the top golfer that exemplifies sportmanship, leadership and skill; Led the team and won the 2022 Witherspoon Cup tournament.
